JOB DESCRIPTION

We have a fantastic opportunity for an energetic, passionate and service focused Food & Beverage Supervisor to join the team. Reporting to the F&B Manager this hands-on role will draw on your passion for F&B, your strong leadership skills, ability to lead from the front and your drive to achieve a consistent high standard of service.  The Hotel operates Hopgarden Café & Beer Garden, Woods Bar & Restaurant as well as a Conference and Event centre with a capacity of up to 300 pax.

Key Duties

  • Successfully execute promotional campaigns for outlets
  • Ensure and promote high standard of WH&S in all outlets
  • Support the F&B Manager in the overall strategic management of Food and Beverage operations
  • Supervise the team, ensuring that service standards are met and guest expectations are exceeded
  • Drive revenues whilst maintaining costs in line with budget expectations on shift
  • Evaluate levels of guest satisfaction with a focus on continuous improvement and report to F&B Manager
  • Execution and delivery of the Functions including staff management during the event
  • Train, coach and develop team members
  • Ensure team is professional always and are up to date with VIP guest movements, hotel events, local attractions and activities
  • Maintain a customer focus at all times, responding to feedback positively and proactively

  • Communicate professionally with guests and team members, both in person and over the telephone
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure
  • Must be self-motivated team player that develops effective relationships with individuals at all levels, from diverse backgrounds, cultures and locations and communicates effectively under pressure
  • Enjoy working a flexible roster including shift work, weekends and public holidays
  • Corporate events Operations experience will be advantageous

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Highly organized, with exceptional time management skills, attention to detail and sales driven
  • Fluent in the English language in order to communicate professionally with guests and team members, both in person and over the telephone
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure
  • Well-presented, organised and calm personality
  • Excellent leadership skills to encourage, inspire and drive the team
  • Must be self-motivated team player that develops effective relationships with individuals at all levels, from diverse backgrounds, cultures and locations and communicates effectively under pressure
  • Ability to work under pressure and be solutions orientated
  • Barista trained with a knowledge of Coffee and Coffee service
  • Outgoing personality with a drive to succeed
